Featured Charity 2010!
According to the American Cancer Society, in 2007 approximately 1.3 million new cases of invasive breast cancer occurred, and an estimated 465,000 women died of breast cancer worldwide. In 2008 it is estimated that over 180,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 40,000 will have died from this disease in the United States alone. Enough is enough, we are ready to see a cure for this disease and with your help we can make a difference.
This year, breast cancer has become a major theme for us as we help our friend Michele start her battle against the disease. In honor of our friend, we are proud to announce that the 2010 Book for Charity program will benefit a charitable organization dedicated in the fight against breast cancer. For every reservation made throughout 2010 we will donate a percentage of that sale to a single breast cancer research foundation charity. At the end of the year we will then present a check of the accumulated amount to that charity.
